Unpacking Your Unit
Before unpacking your unit, be sure to choose a suitable location for it. (→ p. 1-5)
Carefully remove all items from the box. You should have someone help by holding the box
while you lift the unit and its protective packaging out of the box. Save the carton and
packaging in case you need to transport the unit in the future.
Make sure you have the following items:
q Main unit
w Power cord
e Telephone line
r Document support
t Document tray (FAX models only)
y Extension (FAX models only)
u BC-21e Colour BJ cartridge*
i BX-20 Black BJ cartridge*
o BCI-21 Black BJ tank*
!0 BJ cartridge container
!1 Documentation and software
!2 Limited warranty card**
