Handling the Original Document
This section describes how to load the original document on the Platen Glass or the ADF.

Load originals to copy, scan, or fax on the Platen Glass or the ADF.
Note
zMake sure any glue, ink, correction fluid, or the like on the original document is completely dry before loading it on the Platen Glass or the ADF.
However, do not load glued originals in the ADF even if the glue is dry, as this may cause paper jams.
zRemove all staples, paper clips, and the like before feeding the document.
zLoad
zDo not load the following types of documents in the ADF. They will jam.
–Wrinkled or creased paper
–Curled paper
–Torn paper
–Paper with holes
–Glued paper
–Carbon paper or
–Surface treated paper
–Onion skin or thin paper
–Photograph or thick paper
