Selecting a Spot AE Point Option

Turn the mode dial to , or .

In the [ (Rec.)] menu, select [Spot AE

Point].

Select the [Center] or [AF Point] option.

Press the button.

The spot AE point setting will take effect. Press thebutton and shoot the image.

• With each push of the

button, metering

switches between the light metering and spot AE point methods.

When a spot AE point is selected, the

symbol will appear in the display panel. When the center option is selected, the spot AE point frame appears at the center of the LCD monitor, and when the AF point option is selected it appears on the inside of the selected AF frame.

3 Shoot the image.

• This function can only be selected in the ,

and

shooting modes.

The setting is cancelled when the camera power is turned off. However, the option selected in the menu remains selected.

Since the display panel shows the same symbol for the light metering options, you can look at the LCD monitor to tell which option is currently selected.
