Remote Control Features

The hand held remote unit allows you to control all operational aspects (excluding Auto-Timed Programs) of your Portable 4 Season Home Comfort Appliance from the convenience of your favorite armchair. Here are some things you should know about operating the unit with the hand held remote.

Upper Control Buttons

I/O: Power switch (On/Off).

Mode: Selects the operating mode (Auto–Cool–Dry/Dehumidifier–Heat–Fan).

The "auto" mode is a built in feature activated from the hand held remote unit only. Under "auto" mode, your unit will automatically select the required operating mode based on temperature selection. Dehumidifying mode is not operational under the “auto” mode function. The main unit will respond automatically, switching appropriately between modes "cool-heat-fan" to maintain the selected temperature.

Fan: Selects fan speed settings (Auto–LOW-MED-HIGH).

b)No symbol “ Upper Control Buttons ” appears in the remote LCD window when a command is initiated.

Battery replacement:

1.Slide the lower control cover on the remote down until it stops. Continue pulling (gently) until the lower section separates completely from the unit.

2.Insert batteries (AAA) as depicted inside the battery chamber.(+/-)

3.Re-install lower cover.

4.If the remote control is not being used for extended periods of time (vacations etc.), batteries should be removed.

The remote operates within a range of 7 meters

(23 ft.) from the receiver located inside the main unit. Any obstruction between the receiver and remote may cause signal interference, limiting the ability to program the main unit.

NOTE: The illuminated control panel feature on the main unit is not operational when setting functions using the remote control unit. (this is normal)
