I/O TEMP./TIME

This unit is featured with a factory installed "Quick Connect" and "External Water Tank" feature. When the external tank is connected to the main unit, it will "increase" the total running time of the main unit, (air conditioner and dehumidifying mode) up-to 12 hours, inclusive of both tanks. (Depending on relative humidity conditions)

During air conditioner and dehumidifying modes, condensed water accumulates in a pre- cooler drip tray located underneath the evaporator (cooling) coil. When the water reaches a predetermined level, the water flow is channeled first into the secondary external water tank. When the water level inside the secondary tank reaches a predetermined level, the water flow will reverse (backwards) and be re-directed into the primary internal tank. When the water level inside the primary tank reaches a predetermined level, the automatic float switch mechanism (safety shut-off) is activated, causing the unit to stop automatically. The fan motor will continue to operate after the water condensing cycle has terminated. (this is normal)

NOTE: The float switch mechanism is activated by the water level inside the (primary) internal tank only.

If the external water tank is not connected to the main unit, water flow is automatically directed inside the internal water tank.

SPECIAL NOTE:

(Air Conditioner & Dehumidifier Modes Only)

This unit can operate without the secondary external water tank being installed, providing the primary "internal" water tank is correctly installed.

This unit cannot operate if the secondary external water tank is installed, but the primary internal water tank is not.

NOTE:

The quick connect fittings supplied with both the main unit and external water tank are "self-sealing" connections.

This means as soon as the quick connects are "disconnected", water flow between the main unit and external water tank stops immediately.
