全缓冲 DIMM (FBD) 内存概览

为了获得最佳性能,应以四个模块一组的方式安装匹配的全缓冲 DIMM (FBD)。这样能实现四通道运行,还能提供最高的内存带宽。一组中的四个模块的大小、列和组织均须匹配。通常可以在 FBD 标签上找到此信息。例如,四模块组中每个 FBD 的标签内容可能是:1G 2R x8,其中的 1 G 表示内存模块的大小,2 R 表示列数,而 x 8 表示组织。

注 意 :对内存提升卡中的任何内存以及 667 MHz DIMM,需要使用全长散热器 (FLHS)。

也可成对安装全缓冲 DDR2 内存模块;在这种情况下,计算机将继续运行,但性能会有所下降。成对模块的大小、列和组织均须匹配。

按内存模块的标签顺序将其安装在系统板上;应将匹配的四模块组先安装在系统板上的 DIMM 插槽 1-4 中,然后再安装在 DIMM 插槽 5-8 中。应将成对的内存模块先安装在 DIMM_1 和 DIMM_2 中,然后再安装在 DIMM_3 和 DIMM_4 中,以此类推。

注 意 :请勿安装非 ECC 或无缓冲的内存模块。否则可能会导致系统无法引导。

具有 4 GB 或更高配置的定址内存(仅适用于 32 位操作系统)

安装八个 4 GB DIMM 时,此计算机最多支持 32 GB 内存。当前的 32 位操作系统(如 Microsoft® Windows® XP)只能最多使用 4 GB 的地址空间;但是,可用于操作系统的内存容量要小于 已安装内存的容量。计算机内部某些组件需要此 4 GB 范围内的部分地址空间。为这些组件保留的任何地址空间不能用于计算机内存。
