15 Removing the Optical Drive

Prerequisites

1Remove the battery. See "Removing the Battery" on page 17.

2Remove the base cover. See "Removing the Base Cover" on page 27.

Procedure

1Remove the screw that secures the optical-drive assembly to the computer base.

2Using your fingertips, slide the optical-drive assembly out of the optical-drive bay.
