25 Removing the Fan

Prerequisites

1Remove the battery. See "Removing the Battery" on page 17.

2Remove the base cover. See "Removing the Base Cover" on page 27.

3Remove the keyboard. See "Removing the Keyboard" on page 21.

4Remove the palm rest. See "Removing the Palm Rest" on page 45.

Procedure

1Disconnect the fan cable from the system-board connector.

2Lift the fan along with its cable away from the computer.
