23 Removing the Coin-Cell Battery

WARNING: The battery may explode if installed incorrectly. Replace the battery
only with the same or equivalent type. Discard used batteries according to the
manufacturer’s instructions.
CAUTION: Removing the coin-cell battery resets the BIOS settings to default.
It is recommended that you note the BIOS settings before removing
the coin-cell battery.
Prerequisites
1Remove the battery. "Removing the Battery" on page 17.
2Remove the base cover. "Removing the Base Cover" on page 27.
3Remove the memory module(s). "Removing the Memory Module(s)" on page 31.
4Follow the instructions from step 1 to step 4 in "Removing the Hard Drive" on
