Power Button Module

WARNING: To guard against electrical shock, always unplug your computer from
the electrical outlet before removing the cover.
WARNING: Do not operate your computer with any cover(s) (including computer
covers, bezels, filler brackets, front-panel inserts, etc.) removed.
CAUTION: Only a certified service technician should perform repairs on your
computer. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not covered by
your warranty.

Removing the Power Button Module

Follow the instructions in "Before You Begin" on page 13.

Remove the computer cover (see "Removing the Computer Cover" on
page 17).

Remove the front bezel (see "Removing the Front Bezel" on page27).

Remove the optical drive (see "Removing the Optical Drive" on page 50).

Remove the top cover (see "Removing the Top Cover" on page57).

Disconnect the power button module cable from the system board
connector, F_PANEL (see "System Board Components" on page10).

Press the power button module tabs and lift the power button module to
release it from the top panel.
