Removing a WPAN/UWB Card

Replacing a WPAN/UWB Card

Your computer supports a Wireless Personal Area Network or a Ultra-Wide Band (WPAN/UWB) card. If you ordered a WPAN/UWB card with your computer, the card is already installed.

NOTE: Flash Cache Modules (FCMs) fit into both WWAN and WPAN Mini-Card slots. For more information about FCMs, see Flash Cache Modules.

Removing a WPAN/UWB Card

1.Follow the procedures in Before Working on Your Computer.

2.Close the display and turn the computer over.

3.Remove the left hinge cover (see Removing the Hinge Covers).

4.Remove the bottom of the base assembly (see Removing the Bottom of the Base Assembly).

5.Disconnect the blue antenna cable from the WPAN/UWB card.

6.Remove the M2x3 screw from the WPAN/UWB card.

7. Slide the WPAN/UWB card at a 45-degree angle out of its connector.
