3Press the cartridge carrier tab down, and then lift the cartridge carrier lid.

4Remove the old cartridge. Store it in an air-tight container or dispose of it by placing it inside the recycling bag that came with your new ink cartridge and mailing the recycling bag to Dell.

5If you are installing a new cartridge, remove the stickers and tape from the bottom of the cartridge.

NOTICE: Do not touch the gold contact area on the cartridge.

6Insert the new cartridge, and then snap the lid closed.

7Close the front cover.

NOTE: The front cover must be closed to start a print job.
