Installing the Backplane

1Align the holes on the backplane with the holes on the array.

2Tighten the captive screw to secure the backplane to the chassis. See Figure 15-16 for PowerVault MD3200 or Figure 15-17 for PowerVault MD3220.

3Replace the screws that secure the backplane to the chassis. See Figure 15-16 for PowerVault MD3200 or Figure 15-17 for PowerVault MD3220.

4Align the slots on the RAID controller module/power supply cage with the tabs on the chassis. See Figure 15-15.

5Push the RAID controller module/power supply cage toward the front of the array.

6Replace the screws that secure the RAID controller module/power supply cage to the chassis.

7Replace the control panel. See "Installing the Control Panel" on page 220.

8Replace the power supply/cooling fan modules. See "Installing a Power Supply/Cooling Fan Module" on page 217.

9Replace the hard drives. See "Installing a Hard Drive" on page 206.

10Connect all the cables to the array.

11Turn on the array and the host server.
