Adjusting the loading position
The loading position is the position of the paper after the
printer loads it. If printing is too high or low on the page,
change the loadin g position with th e micro-adjust fe ature.
cCaution:
Do not use the knob on the left side of the printer to adjust the
loading position. Otherwise, you may damage the printer or
cause it to lose the top-of-form position.
1. Make sure the printer is turned on.
2. Press the Load/Eject button to load a sheet of paper from the
sheet feeder to the top-of-form position. (You can also
adjust the loading position for continuous paper in the
same way.)
3. Press the Micro Adjust button to feed paper forward,
or press Micro Adjust to feed paper backward. (Press
either button as many times as necessary until your page is
positioned correctly.)
4. Send data from the computer to start printing.
Note:
Your setting remains in effect until you change it agai n, even if
you turn off the printer.
You can set a separate loading position for continuous paper or
for paper loaded in the sheet feeder or the manual feed slot with
banner mode on or off.
The printer has a minimum and maximum loading position,
beyond which the paper stops moving.
