Installing the software while running Windows 95

If you had trouble installing t he printer software using the

plug-and-play feature, follow t hese steps to install the so ftware:

1. Make sure Windows 95 is running and the printer is on.

2. Insert the printer software CD shipped with your printer in

the CD-ROM drive. Click Install in the dialog box t hat

appears, shown below.

If this dialog box does not appear when you insert the printer

software CD, double-click the My Computer icon, then

double-click the CD-ROM dr ive icon (or floppy disk drive

icon if using the floppy disk version). If the dialog box

shown above still does not appear, double-click the

Setup.exe icon. You may need to use the arrows to scroll

through the folder to find it.

Note:

If you wish to make a floppy disk version of the printer software

included on your CD-ROM, click the Driver disk creation

utility button and follow the on-screen instructions.

The printer does not work and the control panel lights are off. Operation 10-8 The Operate light is on but nothing prints. Nothing prints and the lights are on or flashing. The printer sounds like it is printing, but nothing prints. The self test prints well, but nothing prints from within an application pro gram. 10-10 Color documents print out in black and white. Paper feeding is crooked or the paper jams.
