Interface Specifications
Your printer is equipped with an 8-bit parallel interface.

Parallel interface

The built-in parallel interface has the following characteristics:

Forward channel

Data format: 8-bit parallel, IEEE-1284 compatibility mo de
Synchronization: STROBE pulse
Handshake timing: BUSY and ACKNLG signals
Signal level: TTL compatible (IEEE-1284 level 1 device)
Connector: 36-pin 57-30360 Amphenol connector or
equivalent

These signals represent
information in bits 0 to 7 of
parallel data respectively.
Each signal is at HIGH level
when data is logical 1 and
LOW when it is logica l 0.
10 28 ACKNLG OUT Abou t a 5-ยตs pulse. LOW
indicates data has been
received and the printer is
ready to accept more data.
