Buttons Function
Micro Adjust
Micro Adjust Adjusts the loading position or tear-off position for
continuous paper. Press the Micr o Adjust button to
feed paper forward or press Micro Adjust to feed
paper backward. Micro Adjust set tings are saved in
the printer’s memory. See Ch apter 7 for details on
adjusting the loading position or tear-off position.
Alt Moves the carriage to the ink ca rt ridg e install position
if held down for about three seco nd s while printing is
paused. The Pause light begins flashing. Press this
button again to move the carriage back to its home
position and start charging ink in the system. See
”Replacing an Ink Cartridge” on page 9-2 for details.
Activates the secondary functions of other buttons,
as described below, if you press anothe r button while
holding down the Alt button.
Alt + LF/FF
(Black print
head cleaning)
Starts the black print head cleani ng cycle. See
”Cleaning the Print Heads” on page 10 -36 for details.
Note:
Cleaning the print heads uses ink. Don’t do it unless prin t
quality declines.
Alt + Load/Eject
(Color print
head cleaning)
Starts the color print head cleaning cycle. See
”Cleaning the Print Heads” on page 10 -36 for details.
