After unpacking the projector, make sure you have all these parts:

Carrying case

Save all packaging in case you need to ship the projector. Always use the original packaging (or the equivalent) when you need to send the projector to another location. If you are moving the projector by hand, use the carrying case. See page 13 for ordering information, and page 161 for transportation instructions.

Additional Components

Depending on how you plan to use the projector, you may need additional components:

■To receive an S-video signal, you’ll need an S-video cable.

■To receive a component video signal from a VCR or other video device, you’ll need an HD15 to component video cable.

You can purchase these items from Epson. See “Optional Accessories” on page 13.

Copy your files to the projector Page Maintaining the Projector Clean the lens whenever you notice dirt or dust on the surface Use a canister of compressed air to remove dust Before you clean the case, turn off the projector and unplug the power cord ■To remove dirt or dust, wipe the case with a soft, dry, lint-freecloth 154Maintaining the Projector 1.Turn off the projector and unplug the power cord You can remove the air filter to clean both sides (see page 158) It is time to replace the lamp when: ■The projected image gets darker or starts to deteriorate The message as soon as possible ■The lamp warning light flashes red (the lamp is burnt out) Follow these steps to replace the lamp and air filter: 4.Loosen the two screws holding the lamp in place (you can’t remove them) 5.
