Presenting from a USB Drive, Camera, or CompactFlash Card

The projector’s EasyMP PC Free feature lets you give presentations from a USB flash drive, digital camera, USB multicard reader, or CompactFlash card. You can play movies, display graphics, or play a scenario, a format that lets you create your own slideshow using PowerPoint files, image files, and MPEG videos.

When a CompactFlash card is inserted and the projector is on a network, you can also transfer files to the card over the network. See page 51 for instructions.

Copy your files to the projector Page Maintaining the Projector Clean the lens whenever you notice dirt or dust on the surface Use a canister of compressed air to remove dust Before you clean the case, turn off the projector and unplug the power cord ■To remove dirt or dust, wipe the case with a soft, dry, lint-freecloth 154Maintaining the Projector 1.Turn off the projector and unplug the power cord You can remove the air filter to clean both sides (see page 158) It is time to replace the lamp when: ■The projected image gets darker or starts to deteriorate The message as soon as possible ■The lamp warning light flashes red (the lamp is burnt out) Follow these steps to replace the lamp and air filter: 4.Loosen the two screws holding the lamp in place (you can’t remove them) 5. Hold the lamp as shown and pull it straight out 7.Once the lamp is fully inserted, tighten its screws 8.Replace the lamp cover, then tighten its screw 9.Slide out the air filter on the bottom of the projector and remove it 10.Slide in the new air filter until it clicks in place Resetting the Lamp Timer Checking Lamp Usage When replacing batteries, take the following precautions: ■Do not expose batteries to heat or flame ■Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations Replace the batteries in the remote control as described below: 1.Turn the remote control over Page Page Solving Problems Page What To Do When the Lights Flash Status lights (continued) 166Solving Problems The power doesn’t turn on The buttons on the projector don’t work No image appears on the screen ■Make sure the cables are connected correctly, as described on page If you’re using a PC notebook: Hold down the notebook’s manual or online help for details If you’re using Mac OS X: The message Not Supported is displayed Only part of the computer image is displayed The image isn’t square, but keystone-shaped The image contains static or noise The image is blurry ■There may be dirt or smears on the lens.
