note

You must close your image before you can drag it to an application on the Application Bar.

To open an image on the PageManager desktop, double-click its thumbnail. Once it’s open, you can make a number of changes: rotate or flip it, add a text stamp, or OCR a text document. (See your Presto! PageManager electronic manual for details.) To close the image again, click the open Inbox folder in PageManager’s tree view.

Performing OCR on a Text Image

1.Follow the steps under “Scanning Text” on page 89.

2.Double-click your image’s thumbnail to open it in PageManager.

3.Click the button on the toolbar to begin the process of text recognition.

Once your image is processed, you can edit it in PageManager or in a word processing application.

4.To edit the document in a word processing application, click the Inbox folder in PageManager’s tree view to return to the PageManager desktop.

5.Drag the thumbnail to any word processing application on the Application Bar. The document opens in that application, and you can begin to edit.
