3.Choose one of the following Document Layout options:

Auto Detect: retains the original page format, which is especially useful for documents with columns, tables, and lists

Force Single Column: Aligns all text into one column

4.Click Draft Mode Dot Matrix if the document you’re scanning was printed on a dot matrix printer.

5.Click Straighten Image to have the software automatically correct crooked scans and improve the accuracy of the text.

6.Click OK to return to the Scan to OCR window. Then click Recognize to process the text.

When processing is completed, you see a window like this:

Click to enlarge or reduce the view.

Your text appears in the large window. If necessary, click the + or – button to change the size of the display. Use the scroll bars to display the rest of the page.

Unclear characters are highlighted in blue. Unrecognized characters are marked with a tilde (~)
