The projector will not switch off (after the [Power] button has been pressed)

Is the Operation Indicator illuminated in orange?

OFF

The projector has been designed so that the Operation Indicator is not

extinguished even when the power has been switched off.

The Operation Indicator will be extinguished when the Power Plug

has been disconnected from the socket.

The fan will not cease operations.

The cool-down process (to allow the projector lamp to cool down; the operation indicator will blink in orange) will be performed after the power has been switch off by pressing the [Power] button. The operation indicator will be illuminated in orange when this has been completed, so remove the power plug from the socket at this point. *The amount of time required for the cool-down process will depend on the external temperature.

Problems with EasyMP images

The image acts strangely (distorted)

A jpeg image with a resolution that cannot be displayed normally is being used. If the image is not displayed normally, adjust the resolution so that the vertical lines are double 8-pixels and the horizontal lines are double 8-pixels or double 32-pixels. There should be no trouble with scenario files created with the EasyMP Software or images with a normal resolution (VGA, XGA.)

Problems when using the EasyMP Software

PowerPoint files (.ppt) will not be displayed in the file window. Files created with PowerPoint 95 and files saved in the PowerPoint 95 format cannot be edited with the EasyMP Software. These files must first be resaved in the PowerPoint 97 or PowerPoint 2000 formats before they can be used.

Not possible to paste PowerPoint files (.ppt) onto scenarios or display thumbnails.

It could be that the MS-Office jpeg converter has not been installed. Displays the [Converters and Files] - [Graphic Filter] option from the Office97 installer, and then install it all or only the jpeg filter (the jpeg filter is installed with the standard Office2000 installation.)

Created scenarios files cannot be edited.

Scenario files (.sit) that have been transferred across to the memory card cannot be edited. Use the scenario data (.sic) temporarily saved in the EasyMP Software.

Point

If an abnormality remains after checking the results of the above inspections, disconnect the Power Plug from the socket and contact your dealer or nearest address provided at page 121.

The Epson EMP-715 and EMP-505 are versatile projectors that exemplify the best of Epson's innovation in the field of visual display technology. Designed for both business and educational environments, these models combine high performance with user-friendly features.

At the heart of the EMP-715 and EMP-505 is Epson’s proprietary 3LCD technology, which ensures superior color reproduction and brightness. This technology utilizes three separate liquid crystal panels—one for each primary color: red, green, and blue. The result is vibrant, true-to-life images that stand out in any lighting condition. With a brightness of up to 3500 lumens, both models excel in delivering clear presentations in rooms with varied ambient light.

Resolution is key in ensuring clarity in visual presentations, and both projectors provide a native resolution of XGA (1024 x 768). This resolution is ideal for detailed graphics, presentations, and video content, allowing users to display text and images with impressive sharpness. Additionally, they support various resolutions for maximum versatility, adapting to different content and formats seamlessly.

Portability is another significant feature of the EMP-715 and EMP-505. Weighing approximately 2.5 kg, they are lightweight and compact, making them easy to transport between locations. This portability is complemented by a quick-start function, allowing users to set up presentations with minimal downtime.

Furthermore, connectivity options are robust with multiple input ports including HDMI, VGA, and USB ports, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of devices, from laptops and desktops to USB drives and document cameras. These features enhance the projectors' versatility, making them suitable for various presentation scenarios.

The EMP-715 and EMP-505 also include advanced features such as keystone correction, which allows users to easily adjust and correct image distortion when projecting from an angle. This makes it easier to achieve a perfect image from any position in a room.

For enhanced operation, these projectors come equipped with a user-friendly interface and remote control, ensuring ease of use even during complex presentations. The long lamp life of up to 5000 hours in Eco mode offers a cost-effective solution for users, reducing the frequency of replacements and maintenance.

In a nutshell, the Epson EMP-715 and EMP-505 projectors stand out in the market due to their combination of high brightness, excellent resolution, advanced connectivity, and portability. They are perfect for anyone needing a reliable, efficient projection solution in professional and educational settings.
