Default address

To access the ISS 506 via the LAN port, you need the switcher’s IP address. If the address has been changed to an address comprised of words and characters, the actual numeric IP address can be determined using the Ping utility. If the address has not been changed, the factory-specified default is 192.168.254.254.

Ping can also be used to test the Ethernet link to the ISS 506.

Ping to determine Extron IP address

The Microsoft Ping utility is available at the DOS prompt. Ping tests the Ethernet interface between the computer and the ISS 506. Ping can also be used to determine the actual numeric IP address from an alias and to determine the Web address.
