The playlist title, creator, track title, track duration, and URI of a currently selected clip in the playlist are shown in the Playlist Properties panel. If an attempt is made to add an unsupported clip, an error message (“unsupported file format”) is presented.

NOTE: Playlist level metadata is not supported in M3U, M3U8, and PLS format playlists.

Once files and clips are added to the playlist, the clip properties are in the playlist editor and the Playlist Properties panel below the editor. The track title and duration can be changed using either.

To change the track title:

Double-click in the Track Title column of the selected track in the playlist editor and enter the new title, or

Double-click in the Track Title field of the Playlist Properties panel and enter the new title.

To shorten the playing duration of a clip either:

Double-click in the Duration column of the selected track in the playlist editor and enter the desired duration time in seconds.

Double-click in the Track Duration field of the Playlist Properties panel and enter the desired clip length in seconds.

Use the up and down arrows in the Track Duration field of the Playlist Properties panel to scroll to the desired clip length in seconds.
