Two sheets of paper (or transparency film) feed at the same time.

IÕve got a really major transparency jam

Be sure to ÒfanÓ the media before loading. Static tends to attract two sheets together. This is especially true with transparency film.

You may be using a paper that is not very smooth. Use another type.

Use transparencies that have an anti-static back- coating.

Optionally, you may wish to take each transparency off the Paper Output Tray after printing. Static causes the sheets to be ÒattractedÓ to each other and and can cause a jam to occur. Use the procedures in Section 10 to remove the jammed transparency sheets.

I canÕt get the paper all the way into the Paper Input Tray.

My prints are ÒscrambledÓ or look like bar codes.

My 600 x 300 dpi prints are not printing properly.

Load at least 10 sheets of paper or transparency film at a time.

Paper may have been stored in a moist or humid environment and has swelled. Use paper that has been stored in a temperature and humidity- controlled room.

Be sure internal paper guide is set to proper page size. See page 23 for more paper guide information.

This signifies a data transmission error. This could be caused by a bad printer cable or port. Try switching to a different printer cable, preferably 6 feet in length.

If using a switch box, try printing with your printer connected directly to your computer.

Symptoms: when printing with the 600 x 300 dpi print option, entire prints are shrunk vertically or sections of the print are disproportionately re-sized.

600 x 300 dpi printing is achieved through a software controlled resolution enhancement process which is relatively new to the color printer industry.

Unfortunately, not all of the software applications currently available have been modified to support this printing process. If you are having difficulty printing with this option, switch to the 300 x 300 dpi print option and encourage your favorite software programÕs manufacturer to support 600 x 300 dpi printing.
