2The bits in the option field shall specify the options implemented in the transceiver as

3described in table 3.6. StandardFinisar SFP transceivers do not implement TX_FAULT

4or RATE_SELECT, so byte 65 set to 00010010b.

9The upper bit rate limit at which the transceiver will still meet its specifications (BR, max)

10is specified in units of 1% above the nominal bit rate. A value of zero indicates that this

11field is not specified.

14The lower bit rate limit at which the transceiver will still meet its specifications (BR, min)

15is specified in units of 1% below the nominal bit rate. A value of zero indicates that this

16field is not specified.

19The vendor serial number (vendor SN) is a 16 character field that contains ASCII

20characters, left-aligned and padded on the right with ASCII spaces (20h), defining the

21vendor’s serial number for the transceiver. A value of all zero in the 16-byte field

22indicates that the vendor PN is unspecified.
