Setting Up
INSTALLING A HARD DISK DRIVE
1Install a hard disk drive (HDD) in the DVR following the instructions provided by the HDD manufacturer. Connect the data and power cables to the appropriate sockets.

2Format the HDD using the DVR before attempting to record because the standard PC formatting is not compatible. Use the Maintenance tab on the Tool Bar Main Menu (See Chapter 7).
Note: Depending on the size of the HDD, formatting can take several minutes.
