7. The “Found New Hardware
Wizard” dialog opens. Click
the [Next>] button.
If the dialog box does not appear, uninstall
(See P.63) and then re-install the Mass
Storage Driver. (See P.22.)
8. Select “Search for a suitable
driver for my device
(recommended)” and then
click the [Next >] button.
9. In “Optional search locations”, tick the “CD-ROM drives”
checkbox and then click the [Next >] button.
✽If any checkboxes other than “CD-
ROM drives” are ticked, clear the
ticks so that “CD-ROM drives” is the
only checkbox ticked.
✽The screen shown may differ slightly depending on the type of computer.

When [ ] does not appear
10. The “New Hardware Found” dialog box appears. Wait until
the dialog box closes.
11. FinePixViewer automatically starts up and displays the
images on the SmartMedia.
If FinePixViewer does not start up, check that a new removable disk icon (the
connected camera) has appeared in the “My Computer” window.
12. Remove the camera from the cradle. (/P.19)
1Exit FinePixViewer.
2Check that the CHARGE/ACCESS lamp on the cradle is not flashing.
3Click the “Unplug or Eject Hardware” icon [ ] in the taskbar and eject “USB
Disk”.
4Switch the camera off.
☞When a battery is loaded, the CHARGE/ACCESS lamp lights and charging
begins. If no battery is loaded or if charging has already ended, the
CHARGE/ACCESS lamp does not light.
13. Restart your PC.
