4 Supplement

Peripheral devices and cables

When peripheral devices or cables are connected to the PC, use Fujitsu-supplied devices and cables, as some non-Fujitsu devices and cables may not be connectable.

Note on using the display

The vertical and horizontal lines displayed by a CAD application may appear different in width depending on the setting of the resolution of the display used. Adjust the setting correctly before using.

Note on using an analog liquid crystal display

Connect a digital liquid crystal display to the PC and turn on the display power, then turn onthe PC power.

If the digital liquid crystal display is connected to the PC or turned on after the PC power is turned on, the display screen may remain blank.

The PC does not support to connect both of analog display and digital simultaneously. Use either of them.

When digital display is used, set the resolution to up to 1024 X 768. The PC does not support the resolution more than this value.

Display disturbed when the screen mode is changed

The screen display may experiance disturbance temporariry or horizontal lines may appear on the screen when the screen display begins or ends or when the display mode changes, such as when Windows starts or ends or when the normal display mode is restored from the power save mode. These disturbances are not considered faults.

Digital display output

Digital display output is not compatible with a monitor exceeding XGA (1024X 768 pixels) resolution. Use an XGA or low-resolution monitor.

Replacing the display

If the display is replaced with a different type of display (especially a liquid crystal dispaly), a display error such as blank screen may occur. If so, replace the display according to the following procedure:
