
6Replace the heat sink:
aHook the metal clip on the heat sink to the tabs on the processor socket. Make sure the heat sink is level with the processor and the metal clips are securely attached.
Caution | It is very important that the heat sink makes direct contact |
| with the processor or else it will not cool correctly, resulting |
| in processor failure. |

bConnect the heat sink fan cable to the fan connector on the system board.
7Close the case. (See “Closing the case” on page 23 for instructions.)
8Reconnect the cords you removed, then turn on the computer.
You do not have to manually adjust the processor speeds. Your system BIOS automatically detects the processor speed for you.
