CAUTION: Place and remove the griddle only when all grates and griddle are cool and all surface units are turned OFF.
The griddlecan only be used with the center burner. To insert the griddle, remove center grateand replace with griddle.

Using the Griddle
Most griddledfoods require cooking on a preheated surface. Preheat griddle according to the guide below,then switch to the desired cook setting.

NOTE:Griddlesettingsmay need to be adjustedif griddleis used for an extendedtime.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
■Avoid cooking extremely greasy foods and be careful of grease spillover while cooking.
■Do not use oil on the griddle for extended lengths of time. Permanent staining and/or craze lines on the surface could result.
■Never place or store any items on the griddle, even when it is not in use. The griddle can become heated when using the surrounding burners.
■Do not overheat the griddle. Leaving the griddle burner on at HIfor an extended amount of time without food can damage the nonstick coating.
■Avoid using metal utensils with sharp points or rough, sharp edges that might damage the griddle surface.
■Do not cut foods on the griddle.
