Follow these steps if you have a cable box and want to be able to watch a second channel while recording a TV program.

Connect a coaxial cable from the wall outlet to the “IN (From Ant)” jack on the back panel of the DVD+VCR.

Connect the RF cable from the TV Out on the back panel of the DVD+VCR to the “In from Cable” jack on the Cable Box.

Tune the TV to channel 3 or 4, whichever is used by your cable system.

With all three devices turned on, tune your Cable Box to channel 3 and then press SETUP/ENTER.

Make sure the “Setup Menu” appears on-screen. If you see the menu, you have completed this connection.

Connect an RF cable from the “Out to TV” jack on the Cable Box to the “Antenna In” connection on the back of the TV.

N O T E

With the TV/VCR button set to VCR, you should see the channel that the VCR is tuned to. With TV/VCR set to TV, you should see the channel that the cable box is tuned to.

With this hookup, you can watch scrambled channels, but you will not be able to record them.
