n Lay the chain saw on its side with the bar and |

chain on the ground. |

n Remove the three screws that hold the starter |

housing in place. |

n Lift off the starter cover and set aside. |
|

n Replace chain oil and fuel caps to prevent con- |

tamination during cleaning. |

n Clean the flywheel fins. |

n Remove the chain oil and fuel caps. |

n Replace the starter housing. Reinstall screws |

and secure. |

n Replace the chain oil and fuel caps. |

n Replace the cylinder cover. Reinstall screws and |

secure. |

n Replace the chain brake on the post.
NOTE: Check to ensure that the air filter is in the |

proper position before reinstalling the cylinder | Fig. 66 | |

Note: If you notice a power loss with the gas- |
| |
powered tool, the exhaust port and muffler may | clean | |
be blocked with carbon deposits. These deposits | cylinder fins | |
may need to be removed to restore performance. |
