Description:

When the watermark is selected in the HP postscript level 3 emulation driver and Microsoft Word or Microsoft PowerPoint are used to print, the watermark prints. When the watermark is selected in the HP PCL 5 driver or the HP PCL 6 driver and Adobe Illustrator is used to print, the watermark prints.

Solution 1:

Disable Postscript Passthrough and print the document again.

1.Click the Device Settings tab in the print-driver Properties.

2.In Installable Options, select Disabled in the Postscript Passthrough drop-down menu.

Solution 2:

Use the HP PCL 5 driver or the HP PCL 6 driver.

Issue (Internal):

When the HP postscript level 3 emulation driver is used to print a scaled image from Microsoft Excel, the image is incorrectly scaled.

Description:

This issue occurs when the Excel Fit to: option is used to scale the image. The Excel Fit to: option is not working correctly with the HP postscript level 3 emulation driver.

Solution 1:

Use the Excel Adjust to: option instead of the Fit to: option to scale the image. The Adjust to: option can be found on the Page tab of the Page Setup dialog box.

Solution 2:

Use the HP PCL 5 driver or the HP PCL 6 driver.

Issue (Internal):

When the HP postscript level 3 emulation driver on a 64-bit operating system is set to print in Landscape, the document prints incorrectly in Portrait.

Description:

This issue does not occur when Postscript Passthrough is disabled.

NOTE: In some cases, disabling Postscript Passthrough can cause unexpected results within a software program.

Solution 1:

Use the following procedure to disable Postscript Passthrough and print the document again.

1.Click the Device Settings tab in the print-driver Properties.

2.In Installable Options, select Disabled for the Postscript Passthrough: option.
