F’lgure 1 presents an overview of installing the adapter in an HP 9000 Series Xxx computer system. The procedure is slightly different for the HF’9000 Series T6xx and will be noted where different. Installing the SCSIadapter consists of the following major steps:
Shut down the operating system using shutdown
Install the adapter
Connect cables and peripheral devices, and check for no duplicate ADDX.
Terminate the SCSIbus.
Switch power on to the peripherals, then to the computer.
Configure the software to include the adapter.
Verify operation.
