Item	Component	Function
1	Speakers (2)	Produces stereo sound.
2	Wireless button light	On: An integrated wireless device is
	(select models only)	hardware enabled.

3Power/standby light ■ On: Computer is turned on.

■Blinking: Computer is in standby.

■Off: Computer is off.

4IDE (Integrated Drive ■ On or blinking: The internal hard drive

	Electronics) drive light	or an optical drive is being accessed.
5	Battery light	■ Amber: The battery pack is charging.
		■ Green: The battery pack is fully
		charged.
		■ Off: The battery pack is discharging
		or not inserted.
6	Display release latch	Opens the computer.
7	Audio-in	Connects an optional monaural (single
	(microphone) jack	sound channel) microphone.
8	Audio-out	Connect optional headphones or powered
	(headphone) jack	stereo speakers. Also connect the audio
	(2 on HP Pavilion	function of an audio/video device such as
	dv1000 models)	a television or VCR.
