Removal and Replacement Procedures
5.15 RTC Battery
✎The RTC battery is included with the system board. Refer to Section 5.20, “System Board,” for more information.
1.Prepare the computer for disassembly (Section 5.3) and remove the following components:
❏Hard drive (Section 5.4)
❏Optical drive (Section 5.8)
❏Switch cover (Section 5.9)
❏Keyboard (Section 5.10)
❏Display assembly (Section 5.11)
❏Base enclosure (Section 5.12)
2.Remove the RTC battery from the socket on the system board.
Removing the RTC Battery
Reverse the above procedure to install the RTC battery.
