Connecting the Amplifier
For a full home theater sound experience, an external Dolby Digital* decoder and a multichannel amplifier must be connected to the Digital Audio Out terminal on the TV.

Procedure
1Select Off for Speakers Off in Audio menu (see “Speakers” under “Other Adjust (Audio)” on page 32).
2Adjust the amplifier volume to the desired level.

■Depending on your DVD player and
■External speakers cannot be connected directly to Output terminals.
■With an ATSC channel, the output from the Digital Audio Out is Dolby Digital. With an NTSC channel, the output is PCM.
