| You can change the attributes of a principal in the Principal Information |
|
| window (Figure |
|
| properties assigned to a user or a service principal. Attributes control |
|
| how a principal behaves and what that principal can do, such as |
|
| renewing and forwarding valid tickets. |
|
| To change the principal attributes, complete the following steps: |
Step | 1. | In the HP Kerberos Administrator window, choose the Principals tab |
|
| and select the realm of the principal. |
Step | 2. | Click List All or Search to find the principal. |
Step | 3. | Select the principal name from List of Principals, and click Edit to |
|
| display the Principal Information window as shown in Figure |
Step | 4. | Choose the Attributes tab to change the attributes for the current |
|
| principal. For more information on attributes, see “Attributes Tab |
|
| (Principal Information Window)” on page 168 and “Password Tab |
|

Step | 5. | Click OK to accept the new attributes and to close the Principal |
|
| Information window. |
You can use the Principal Information window>Edit>Load Default Values option to quickly reload default values or restore previously saved values at any time while editing a principal. When you reload default or restored values, all the fields in the Principal Information window tabs are reset to the default or previously saved values.
