PUT and GET Subcommands:
The put and get operations are performed the
same way as the AS/400-to-AS/400 put and get operations, but with the following
differences.
The specification of files on AIX is as follows:
/DIRECTORY/FILENAME.TYPE
where directory can be expressed as a subdirectory structure such as
/AAA/BBB/CCC/DDD/...
It is possible to put a logical file from the AS/400 toAIX. This creates a normal file
on AIX that contains data according to the view of the logical file.
Figure 165on page 256 and Figure 166 on page 256 show examples of put and get
operations between an AS/400 andAIX.
