4 Start playback of the desired source.
•You can select a radio broadcast (page 16), a loaded disc (page 19), a USB device (page 20) or other connected external devices (page 18).
5 Press [VOL +] or [VOL
•You can also adjust the volume by turning the [VOLUME] control on the main unit.
6 Press [MIC VOLUME +] or [MIC VOLUME
•Sing into the microphone to find the desired microphone volume.
•Adjustable volume range is from 0 to 15.
NOTE
•Pressing [MIC VOLUME +] or [MIC VOLUME
•When the microphone mixing function is activated, the surround mode setting has no effect. (Refer to page 13.)
•When the microphone mixing function is activated, you cannot record sound from a CD to a USB device, delete a track/group from a USB device or add a title to a track/group on a USB device. (Refer to pages 48 to 52.)
•While recording sound from a CD to a USB device, deleting a track/group from a USB device or adding a title to a track/group on a USB device, you cannot activate the microphone mixing function.
•You cannot record your singing to a USB device.
•Microphone audio cannot be output to an external device connected to the [DIGITAL OUT] terminal.
•If you activate or deactivate the microphone mixing function while the microphone is connected, the sound becomes intermittent.

•Before disconnecting a microphone from the main unit, press [MIC VOLUME
Activating/deactivating the microphone mixing function
Press [MIC MIX] to select “MIC MIX” or “MIC OFF” in the display window.

•If you turn off the main unit and turn it on again when a microphone is connected, the microphone mixing function is deactivated. To activate the microphone, press [MIC MIX] to select “MIC MIX” in the display window.
•When the “SCORING” indicator lights up in the display window, you cannot deactivate the microphone mixing function. To cancel the scoring function, refer to page 45.
