Using the remote control for the TV operation

Before the TV operation, select the remote control mode for the TV.

■IMPORTANT

• Slide the remote control mode selector to the lowest position.

NOTE

•When the remote control mode selector is slid to the lowest position and [TV] is pressed, some buttons may not work.

•It is recommended that you slide the remote control mode selector to [AUDIO] after using this function. Most of the other functions can be used when the remote control mode selector is at [AUDIO].

Operating a DBS using the remote control

Setting the manufacturer code

■IMPORTANT

• Slide the remote control mode selector to the lowest position.

1 Press [DBS].

2 Hold down [DBS/VCR F].

•Hold down [DBS/VCR F] until you finish step 5.

3 Press [ENTER].

4 Press number buttons to enter the manufacturer code.

Examples:

For an Echostar DBS: Press [2], then [1].

For a Sony DBS: Press [2], then [0].

When the manufacturer of your DBS has 2 or more codes, enter the manufacturer codes in turn and find the one that operates the DBS and the remote control properly.

•Manufacturer codes are subject to change without notice. You may not be able to operate the DBS produced by the manufacturer.

•After replacing the batteries of the remote control, set the manufacturer code again.
