SYMPTOM (COMMON)

REMEDY

Audio soundtrack and/or subtitle language is not the one selected at the initial settings. No subtitles.

Alternative audio soundtrack (or subtitle) language available.

Angle cannot change.

No sound when connecting to 5.1 channel speakers

No key operation (by the DVD Recorder and/or the remote control) is effective.

No picture and sound (for recorded disc)

Distorted picture or no image

OSD setting doesn’t get executed

If the audio soundtrack and/or subtitle language does not exist on the disc, the language selected at the initial settings will not be seen/heard.

Subtitles appear only with discs that contain them.

Subtitles are hidden from the TV screen. Press SUBTITLE to display the subtitles.

Ιf an alternative language can not be selected, it may be because there are no other languages available.

This function depends on software availability. Even if a disc has a number of angles recorded, these angles may be recorded for specific scenes only.

Check if the disc supports 5.1 channel sound.

Check if the speaker is properly connected.

Check if the audio output setting is correct.

Turn the unit off and then back to on. Alternatively, turn off the unit, disconnect the AC power cord and then re-connect it. (The recorder may not be operating properly due to lightning, static electricity or some other external factor.)

Check if the DVD Player and external equipment are properly connected.

Check if the scheduled recording setting is correct.

Check if the correct recordable disc is being used. (DVD+RW/DVD+R)

Check if power set to stand-by mode while using schedule recording.

Check if the disc has been closed. (only for DVD+R disc)

Check if the TV system settings are correct.

Check if the output format is in “Progressive Scan”. If so, you have to set “Component” in the video output setting. The actual output format must match the output format setting.

Some settings must be stored by pressing left button. Re-check it.
