Moving one track

Use the following procedure to select a track and move and insert it to the position of the desired track number. Multiple tracks can be moved and reordered by repeating the procedure for each track. The track numbers before and after the moved track are adjusted automatically.

1Select the MD input and in- sert a recordable MD.

2Press the 4 or ¢ key re- peatedly to select the track

number to be moved.

The track will be played back.

3Press the TRACK EDIT key repeatedly until "3MOVE ?" is displayed, then press the

SET key.

If "X MOVE" is displayed, the subsequent operation will not be available (see page 53).

4Press the 4 or ¢ key re- peatedly to select the move destinationpositionwhereyou wanttoinsertthemovedtrack.

Display when a track has been moved after track no.4.

5Press the SET key.

6Press the ENTER key.

7Eject the MD.

"WRITING" is displayed.

To cancel the MOVE operation in the middle :

Press the TRACK EDIT key any time before the end of step 5.

Editing can be canceled provided that it is attempted before "WRITING" is displayed. For the procedure, see "Canceling editing" (page 44).

÷Be careful not to apply vibration to the unit while "WRITING" is displayed, because the MD recorder is writing recorded and edited data in the MD in this period. Also, to avoid loss of recorded and edited data, do not unplug the power cord before "WRITING" disappears.
