Dividing a track
Use the following procedure to divide a track into two. The track numbers are adjusted automatically.

If "X DIVIDE" is displayed, the subsequent operation will not be available (see page 53).
4Press the SET key again.
The track dividing point is displayed and the audio of the 3 seconds around it will be played repeatedly.
5Press the 4 or ¢ key re- peatedly to adjust the track
dividing point.
Adjust while listening to the repeated audio. The dividing point can be adjusted in the range between

1Select the MD input and in- sert a recordable MD.
2Press the 4 or ¢ key re- peatedly to select the track
number to be divided.
The track will be played back.
3Find divided point, press the TRACK EDIT key repeatedly until"3DIVIDE?"isdisplayed, then press the SET key.
If you want to divide the track at another point, cancel the DIVIDE operation then restart the procedure from step 2.
6Press the SET key.
7Press the ENTER key.
8Eject the MD.
"WRITING" is displayed.
