Disk mode

KARMA Music Workstation system version . lets you load or save the GE data used by the KARMA function. GE data from an EXB-PCM 04/05 (planned for release) that supports the KARMA music workstation can be loaded into internal user GE memory, or GE data from the internal user GE memory can be saved to a floppy disk. You can also load/save Template data such as rhythm patterns and

CCpatterns for use with user GE data. This data consists of GE data and Template data, and the .KGE files (extension:

.KGE) that contain these two types of data. (See diagram below.)

Load .PCG

The following item has been added to 1) Load .PCG in PG p.151.

Load .PCG

If you want the identically-named .KGE file to be loaded along with the .PCG file, check the “Load ********.KGE too” check box. If this is checked, the .KGE file with the same name as the .PCG file will be loaded as well.

Additional Load functions

The following functions have been added to PG p.150 “Load Selected.”

Load .KGE select icon

All data from the .KGE file will be loaded.

If you want the identically-named .PCG and .SNG files to be loaded along with the .KGE file, check the “Load

********.PCG too“ and “Load ********.SNG too” check boxes.

Press the [F8] (“OK”) key to load the data, or press the [F7] (“Cancel”) key to cancel without loading.

Load GEs select icon

All GE data from a .KGE file will be loaded.

To load the data, press the [F8](“OK”) key. To cancel without loading, press the [F7](“Cancel”) key.

Load GE Bank select icon

All GE data of the selected bank will be loaded into the load-destination bank you specify.

Use “To” to specify the load-destination bank.

Press the [F8] (“OK”) key to load the data, or press the [F7] (“Cancel”) key to cancel without loading.

Load .SNG

The following item has been added to 12) Load .SNG in PG p.152.

Load .SNG

If you want the identically-named .KGE file to be loaded along with the .SNG file, check the “Load ********.KGE too“ check box. If this is checked, the .KGE file with the same name as the .SNG file will be loaded as well.

Load a GE select icon

The selected GE data will be loaded into the GE number you specify as the load-destination.

Use “To” to specify the load-destination bank and GE number.

Press the [F8] (“OK”) key to load the data, or press the [F7] (“Cancel“) key to cancel without loading.

Load User Template select icon

Template data such as the rhythm patterns and CC patterns used by the user GEs will be loaded.

Press the [F8] (“OK“) key to load the data, or press the [F7] (“Cancel”) key to cancel without loading.
