This knob adjusts the output volume of the line out jacks and the headphone jack. The master volume does not adjust the volume of the individual out jacks.

The controls grouped in the Common section allow you to switch modes, to use the display to edit parameters, and to control playback and record- ing.

This knob adjusts the level of the EMX-1’s output signal that is being sent through the vacuum tubes. As you increase this level, the vacuum tubes will produce more distortion. Normally you will leave this set to the minimum level.

The effect of the vacuum tubes applies to the line

3. AUDIO IN LEVEL

This knob adjusts the input level of the audio in- put.

4. Display (p.15)

This shows the name of the currently selected pat- tern, and displays information such as parameter values and messages.

Using these controls, you can edit the sound of each part and edit the effect settings.
