The front panel of the KPS25sc accesses poweron andoff, compactdisc functions, digi- tal andanaloginput selections, volumeandbal- ance control, menuselection, and mute. The displays showthe status of compact disc play- back and volume, balance, and menu.
CompactDisc Transport Functions
1 CompactDisc Display
The compactdisc transport display showsthe track numberof the compactdisc that is playing as well as programming and other status information.
2 Pause Button
Usethis button to temporarily suspendplay- backof the compactdisc track. To resumeplay- ing the track at the point pausewasengaged, pressthe play button (4).
3 Stop Button
Usethis button to stop compactdisc playback.
4 Play Button
Usethis button to activate playback from the beginning of the compactdisc, or to resume playback after pause. For moreinformation, see Operating Your KPS25sc, on page 26, and Customizing Configurations, on page 27.

5 HDCD LED
®
The HDCD LED illuminates when a High
Definition CompatibleDigital ®disc is playing,
®
indicating that HDCDdecodingis functioning.
6 SYNC LED
The SYNCLEDilluminates whenthe KPS25sc digital input selection has locked on to a valid signal fromthe internal transport or an external source component.
7 Search Back Button
Pressand hold this button to scroll backward throughthe current track,
8 Search Forward Button
Press and hold this button to scroll forward throughthe current track.
9 Track Back Button
Usethis button to select andbegin playing the track that precedesthe current track,
10 Track Forward Button
Usethis button to select andbegin playing the track that follows the currenttrack.
11 Drive Off Button
Usethis button to turn the compactdisc trans- port on andoff.

Usethis button to switch the KPS25scbetween the
13 Power LED
The blue power LED illuminates when the KPS25sc is in the operational mode.Theblue power LEDalso flashes whenany remote con- trol keyis pressed.
