Operating Your KPS25sc

This section provides moredetailed informa- tion about operating the KPS25sc.

TO PLAY A COMPACTDISC

1.After the KPS25scis initialized andin stand- by mode,use the powerbutton (12) or key switch the componentto the operational mode.Theblue powerLED(13) illuminates. Thecompactdisc transport is active.

2.Gentlyraise the acrylic coveruntil it is upright

(approx.90 angle).

3.Removethe provided Krell compact disc clamp and place your compactdisc on the transport.

4.Secure the compactdisc with the compact disc clamp(you mustuse this clampsince it is part of the disc sensingmechanism).

5.Gently pull the acrylic cover forward until you feel the damper mechanismresist

slightly. The damper mechanismis now engagedandwill automatically finish clos- ing the cover. Donot force the cover to close faster than the dampingmechanism allows.

6.Beginplayback. Youcan use the play button (4), the play key(handholdremotecontrol.), or the direct track accesskeypad(tabletop remotecontrol).

Playbackbeginsfromthe first track.

Note

If you begin playing a compactdisc using the direct track accesskeypad, the acrylic cover does not becomeopaque. You must use the play button (4) or keyto makethe cover opaque.

Usethe level knob(25) or keysto adjust the volumeto the desiredlevel.

Pressthe stop button (3) or key to endcom- pact disc playback.

HOWTO WRITE A PROGRAM

This short-term programminglets you store a maximumof 20 tracks in a programsequence.

Note

Trackforward,track back,repeat, andpausefunc- tion normally within a programmedsequence.For a descriptionof thesekeys, seepage19.

1.Press the prog (program)key on the remote control. PROGRAMappears in the compact disc display(1).

2.Keyin the desired track sequenceusing the direct track access keypad. The selected tracks and total playing time of the pro- grammedsequence appear =n the compact disc display(1) in the orderin whichthey are stored.

Note

Tracks consisting of two digits mustbe keyed within eight secondsof eachother.

3.Press the play key to begin playback of a programmedsequence.

4.Pressthe stop key and programkey again to erase a programmedsequence.
