はじめに

この使用説明書は、Data Security Kit (B)（以降、セキュリティキット） を正しく運用していただくための操作方法や注意事項をまとめたもの です。ご使用前に必ずこの使用説明書をお読みください。

セキュリティキットについて

複写機は、読み込んだ原稿を一時的にハードディスクにデータとして 保存し、そのデータから印刷を行います。データは印刷が行われた後 でも、別のデータが上書きされるまで、ハードディスクに残ります。 そのため、特殊なツールなどで残ったデータを復旧すると、機密漏え いの原因となる可能性があります。

セキュリティキットは、印刷後に不要になったデータや、削除した後 のデータの記録領域を上書きして消去（以降、上書き消去）しますの で、復元できないようにすることができます。また、上書き消去は自 動で行われるため、特別な操作の必要はありません。

保護対象外のデータについて

セキュリティキットが保護するデータは、印刷後に不要になったデー タや、削除した後のデータです。したがって印刷前のデータや削除す る前の保存データについては、利用者の責任で管理してください。
